AC Milan have commenced negotiations with Arsenal linked defender Faouzi Ghoulam and a contract is already being drafted for the player.

The Rossoneri who just had new Chinese owners, are looking to spend very huge in the summer transfer market and are planning a major revamping of their squad.

Lots of big names in the game have been linked with a move to the San Siro but AC Milan are hoping they could add some top Serie A players to their ranks to improve the quality of their play and increase their chances of winning the title next season.

And Napoli full-back seems to have caught their attention and according to Italian publication Tutto Mercato, they have stared negotiating with his agents in anticipation of the summer transfer window.

Arsenal have also been keeping tabs on the defender for a while now, but AC Milan seem to be in a better position to lure him away from the San Paolo at the end of the present campaign.

The Rossoneri have already prepared a contract for the player and are ready to place before him an offer of five-year worth €2m per season in order to convince him to move down to the San Siro.

With his current deal at Napoli expiring at the end of the term, this summer could be an opportunity to make money out of the left-back. Ghoulam, an Algeria international has earned 33 caps for his country.

As with any transfer story, we need to take this report with a pinch of salt until something concrete comes out but obviously Milan fans absolutely would love for this to be true and to see Ghoulam join Arsenal this summer that joining a fierce rival.

We will have to wait till the transfer window open and see whichever trending transfer news become a real one.
