AC Milan are reportedly drawing first blood on the signing of Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie as Vincenzo Montella eyes key additions this summer.

The 20-year-old midfielder has had an impressive season this year, bagging seven goals and registering four assists in 29 appearances as he’s been an important player in getting La Dea into Europe next season.

However, it seems as though the Frenchman won’t be around next year to help his side build on this season as La Gazzetta dello Sport, citing report according to Football Italia claim he is ‘close’ to signing for the Rossoneri.

Meanwhile, there are also some reports as Gazza Mercato claimed that AC Milan could ship out Suso out of San Siro this summer amid problems over his contract extension with the club.

The former Liverpool man has been an important player at San Siro this season, bagging seven goals and notching 11 assists in 36 appearances. However, with his current contract to expire next summer, there are question marks over whether or not he will remain with the Rossoneri.

The report says that Napoli are ready to hijack him from Milan with reports growing he could leave the San Siro, but much will likely depend on how they strengthen this summer and prove that they have ambitions of getting back into the top three in Serie A.

Signing Kessie would serve as his replacement, and it’s been widely suggested that the Frenchman will just be one of many new faces at Milanello this summer with Yonghong Li and the new club owners are ready to strengthen the squad as they remain hopeful of qualifying for the Europa League too.
