According to L’Equipe, Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has been offered to Paris Saint-Germain as his future at the Emirates remains uncertain. The 26-year-old is out of contract this summer and has yet to agree terms of an extension, so PSG could land themselves a talented playmaker for free.
Former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly replacing Unai Emery next season and reportedly wants the English international at the Parc des Princes. Sporting Director Antero Henrique is expected to sit down with Tuchel and discuss summer transfer targets.
Wilshere rose through the youth ranks to the Arsenal first-team in 2008 and has gone on to make 198 appearances in all competitions, scoring and creating 44 goals. The midfielder has won two FA Cups with the Gunners, but he may have played his last game for the London outfit.
His current deal expires in the coming weeks and there’s been no suggestion of an agreement being reached on a new deal, so the question is: where will Wilshere go this summer?
The 26-year-old won’t be short on offers, with PSG one of many clubs who are keen on his signature, but it’s unknown what his favoured destination would be. Regardless, it’s bad news for Arsenal that they could lose an academy graduate this summer.
