Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to give their opinions on the resignation of SFA chief executive Stewart Regan.
Regan stepped down from the post after eight years in-charge, as confirmed on the SFA’s official website. Regan’s tenure has recently come under scrutiny after Michael O’Neill rejected the position of Scotland.
For Celtic fans though it’s the situation involving Rangers and their liquidation in 2012 and his reaction to those events then that have got the most comments.
Check out some of the best reactions from Twitter to Regan’s departure below:
The news of Stewart Regan’s departure from SFA is likely to overshadow Celtic’s trip to Kilmarnock on Saturday. Celtic go into the match 11 points clear of Aberdeen at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
Brendan Rodgers’ side are in good form, having won 19 of the last 21 points in the league. His side most recent victory was on Tuesday against Hearts, when goals from Odsonne Edouard, Dedryck Boyata and Moussa Dembele sealed a 3-1 victory.
The match saw on-loan Chelsea attacking midfielder Charly Musonda make his debut for the club as a second-half substitute. The Scottish champions upcoming match against Kilmarnock could see appearances in the squad from fellow new signings Jack Henry and Scott Bain, both of whom joined from Dundee.
Can you tell me/us one single good thing that Stewart Regan will be remembered for implementing in Scottish football?
This is a honest question, as am struggling to remember.— Garngadbhoy (@shamrockbhoy7) February 1, 2018
Disappointed to see Stewart Regan resign. A massive failure in holding the SFA to account. Shows how little influence the fans have that he wasn't sacked and can now have his term in office classified as honest. Clubs and media failed us again. End result no compensation.

Maybe now that Stewart Regan has gone we will see apt people put in place to seek proper investment, sufficient promotion of our league to help us attract better players and more money coming in via TV deals. Because right now the whole of Scottish football is losing out.

Remember folks, we're in a state of Armageddon.
How did that turn out Stewart Regan?
By crowds increasing? Various clubs winning Silverware? Celtic's Invincibles? That's sone demise of Scottish football right there.
