With five completed transfers and a number of first team players leaving the club, Celtic did a little bit of business during the January transfer window.
The activity even got more intense on deadline day after the club confirmed the signings of Dundee duo Scott Bain and Jack Hendry, who both join the club with a view to improving our defence in the long and short term.

The move for the Dundee duo followed the signings of centre-back Marvin Compper, attacking midfielder Charly Musonda on an 18-month deal and Scottish prospect Lewis Morgan, who joined the club permanently but was loaned back to high flying St Mirren for the rest of the season.
The most notable ones to leave Celtic in January were Erik Sviatchenko and Liam Henderson, who moved abroad after falling out of favour under Brendan Rodgers.
With big tough matches coming and trophies to win, there’s a desire for constant improvement at the Parkhead, regardless of the squad in place, and that’s led to a bit of division on how to judge the club’s success last month.
However, there are some fans delighted with what the transfer piece the club managed to do. Others though are less convinced, believing the club have failed in pursuit of quality improvements that can improve the first team chances in some key areas, including the full-back positions.
Anyway, it’ll be the rest of the season and beyond that will determine whether or not the club did well with their business this winter window.
With many expecting improvement on their European results, Celtic fans will be hoping for a big summer window, especially if they win the riches of the UEFA Champions League group stages for a third season in a row.
Unconvincing window yet again. Absolutely losing it with Celtic. Signings not strong enough for Europe

Not sure how I feel about this transfer window for Celtic, Brendan said quality over quantity yet we sign 3 SPFL players who will likely not get into the 1st 11.

I questioned Celtic’s lack of ambition early this window and all I got back was wait and see. Well I’ve waited and have to say the clubs transfers are a fucking JOKE. A centre back from Dundee and a young guy on loan that can’t get in the Chelsea team doesn’t inspire me.
