England international and Tottenham’s star Harry Winks is considered to be one of the Spurs brightest young players and the latest on the conveyor belt of English talent that has come out of White Hart Lane.
However, the North London club new fear the midfielder will miss the rest of the season having just injured himself tackling Stephen Ward and subsequently falling into the Turf Moor fox hole.
And now, The Mirror understands that the England U-21 international is due for a scan on his ankle, with fears that he may ruptured ligaments that will keep him out of action till next season.

It’s a well-known fact that an injury as serious as ruptured ankle ligaments would rule such player out which is same case for the 21-year-old this season, and may also keep him out of action for the U-21 European Championships in Poland this summer.
Harry Wink’s injury is a blow for Maurico Pochettino’s side, who are already without their goal-poacher Harry Kane. Tottenham are also missing Danny Rose and Erik Lamela, and will be hoping to avoid any further injuries as they look to close the seven point gap between them and EPL league leaders Chelsea.
Next up, they face Swansea on Wednesday, knowing a win could move them to within four points of the Blues should they fail to thrash a strong Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.
