Premier League summer transfer window is drawing near and team, while still concentrating on the campaign, will also be making plans for the future.
Premier League are known for their extravagance during transfer window and the next coming summer will not be an exception. Clubs signing new players means some old hand would have to make room for the new ones. Here we bring you three player who could be exiting Premier League at the end of the term:
Michael Carrick
Carrick’s contract expires in a few month but there have been no talk of renewal and it seems the United vice-captain might be on his way out of Old Trafford at the the end of the season.
The 35-year-old, despite his age has shown he still has a lot to offer and can be an integral part of a team. But with United looking to strengthen their defense and Ander Herrera coming under the United wings into the central park, it is doubtful he would have a place with the Red Devils.
John Terry
Terry has been making vague suggestion that this could be his last season with the Premier League leaders. He has been playing for Chelsea since 1998 and could finally move out of Stamford come season end.
The Blues captain had a good start this season but after he went on an injury enforced leave, he has had difficulty breaking into the first team. David Luiz and Gary Cahill filled the void his injury absence and they have had a good performance making them retain the position. His presence in the team is putting a damper on the career of the likes of Kurt Zouma and Nathan Ake and also Andreas Christensen will be returning from his loan-spell at Borussia Monchengladbach where he performed beyond expectation. With this, Terry could be displaced from the club.
Willy Caballero
The Manchester City goalkeeper, recently replaced Claudio Bravo as Manchester City’s starting goalkeeper after a run of form which had seen the Chilean concede 28 goals from 22 appearances, but this might not not be for a long time as Pep Guardiola is looking to add new faces to his squad.
The Argentine shot stopper has brought stability to Man City after the insecurity caused by Bravo’s incessant concession of goal. Caballero put up an admirable display for his side’s 5–3 Champions League round of 16 win over AS Monaco, where he saved a penalty kick from Radamel Falcao. But with his contract drawing to close, this might be the last season the 35-year-old appears with the Mancunian.
