Liverpool had a bad start to the year but the Jurgen Klopp side have picked up the pace towards the end of the season and the German Manager will hope to have a top four finish by the end of the season. Klopp will be looking to bring in new talent to the club and will also release some of his players in the summer transfer window.
Though there is a shortage of big-name presently in the club, the Reds still has some fine players who are sure to be hot property on the market come summer. We bring you two of such players who could get considerable attention from England and also in Europe:
Lucas Leiva
Leiva is a defensive midfielder at Liverpool but also possess the ability to play as a makeshift defender due to his tackling ability.
The Brazilian is by no means a first choice player and he was rumored to be leaving the club before the start of the Campaign but Klopp decided to keep him and turned down offer made by several clubs. Klopp’s wish to reinforce the squad might see Leiva out of the first team next season and back on the market.
At 30, he still has a lot to offer and there will be a number of club willing to offer him a place in their squad. He is a hard-tackling player, who is known for his work-rate, stamina, and tenacity on the pitch, as well as his tactical intelligence and professionalism as a footballer. Fenerbahce, Galatasaray, Gremio and Inter Milan have all shown interest in him a little while back and they might once again make an offer for him. Surely he would be in demand at the end of the season.
Mamadou Sakho
The defender currently on loan to Crystal Palace had a challenging 2016. Sakho got demoted from the senior squad and thus only played competitive football with the reserves in the Professional Development League that season following series disciplinary flaws.
However he had an admirable start at Crystal Palace and is already acclaimed for his display in the Eagles past matches. Klopp would have no use for him next season as he would prefer to target a better alternative and that would leave the French man up for grabs.
Ligue 1 club Lille have made their interest in him known but they would have to go head to head with the likes of Palace, Sunderland and West Bromich as the Premier League clubs will look to add him to their squad.
