There are always two sides to a story. It may be true or it may be a false, whichever way, there is always an element of truth in every rumour.

Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil contract saga has dragged on since the summer. Both have contracts that expires in the summer of next season and they are stalling in renewing their contract at Arsenal.

However, Spanish sport magazine has revealed a shocker that Sanchez will only commit his future to the London club if Arsene Wenger steps aside as the coach.

The report claimed that the former Barca man said his boss has offered all he can and he should allow someone else to be moved in.

It was earlier thought that the wage demand has been the major reason for the breakdown in negotiations, though it still remain a part of it as the Chilean international and his Gunners team mate Ozil are reportedly eyeing £300,000 per week.

Also, Sanchez want a reinforcement of the team that would be built around him and Ozil ahead of next season.

Though the authenticity of the report has not been ascertained, as the forward himself has not come forward to make such claims, however, if it turns out to be true, who will the Arsenal hierarchy goes with?

It is obvious the fans would prefer to have their talisman intact than for Wenger to continue at the helms of affairs.

The fans have even been clamouring for the removal of the Frenchman, likewise some of the club’s ex players and football pundits.

Wenger will be out of contract with the Emirates outfits at the end of the season and there has been no news about his potential retention.

He is arguably Arsenal’s best manager but failure to win the Premier League in the last 12 seasons has been the major reason of the call for his sack.
