Arsene Wenger’s future at Arsenal is up in the air. He has spent twenty years at the club and he is arguably their best manager but has not won the Premier League in the last 12 seasons while the Champions League has also continued to elude him.

His contract expires at the end of this season and he has been continuously linked with England job despite the recent appointment of Gareth Southgate. There have also been calls for Wenger to be removed and we look at those that could take the hot from him.

Diego Simeone

The Atletico Madrid boss will be available next summer when he quits the Spanish club. He won the La Liga title for the club in 2013/2014, their first in 18 years and has guided them to two Champions League finals. However, he has no experience of managing in England and his style of play may be different for Arsenal’s players to adapt.

Eddie Howe

The Bournemouth coach is the bookmakers’ favourites for the job following his exploits at the club, leading them to the Premier League. But he has not managed a top club before and his side have not been strong at the back.

Joachim Low

He led Germany to EURO and the World Cup triumph in 2012 and 2014respectively. He has what it takes to manage the club but he has not managed a club side for more than a decade.

Steve Bould

He is familiar with the club and won many trophies including the Premier League there during his playing days. But he is yet to manage a senior side.
