Diego Costa and Sergio Aguero are both in hot forms, threats to oppositions and spear heading the attack of their respective clubs. Both will go head-to-head in competing for the Golden Boot award this season.

Costa won the Golden Boot in his first season in England scoring 21 goals and leading Chelsea to Premier League triumph under Jose Mourinho but lost it last season to Tottenham’s Harry Kane whose club failed to lift the title.

Costa’s Chelsea sit atop the Premier League while Man City are in the third position with just a point separating them. The title race has been closely contested this season and Chelsea are now strong favourites to win it.
The stats showed that Costa has been the more complete forward so far than Aguero.

They have both scored 10 goals each going into their sides’ Premier League clash on Saturday but Costa has featured in two more goals (13) than Aguero (11) and has been more contributively to his team overall than his rival. Costa has bettered his former Atletico Madrid team-mate in other areas apart from goal scoring.

The Spanish striker has been involved in more goals for Chelsea in the Premier League this season. He has four assists already while the Argentine striker is still searching for his first assist.

Likewise, in ariel duel, Costa has more than twice (25%) of Aguero’s 12%. Also Costa has won six times (36) the free-kicks of Aguero (6). The Spaniard has 100 more passes (373) than Aguero’s (272).

Those stats notwithstanding, winning the Premier League is more prestigious.
