Chelsea face a tougher test of their title credential again this weekend against Manchester City after surviving Tottenham’s trap last weekend. The Blues go into game on the back of a seven-match unbeaten run, conceding just a goal.
The London club had their defence breached after 600 minutes in the Premier League without conceding. They went behind against Tottenham but fought back to win 2-1.
Since switching to the 3-4-3 formation which has gifted them the seven wins, they are yet to face a side as good as Man City. The Sky Blues are a point behind Chelsea in the Premier League table and will be looking to end their unbeaten run when they welcome Antonio Conte’s men to the Etihad Stadium. City won both fixtures in the league last season
Sergio Agureo Vs Diego Costa
The two strikers are expected to go head-to-head for the Premier League Bolden Boot and will carry their respective teams when the two sides meet tomorrow
Chelsea’s backline will be in for real test when they face Kun Aguero tomorrow. The Argentine striker scored four times in both fixtures in the league last season, including a hat-trick at Stamford Bridge. He has scored 16 times in games for City this season.
Costa is topping the Premier League scoring chart and has been involved in 14 goals for the Blues; scoring 10 goals and assisting four. Without Kompany in the City line up, Costa may prove unstoppable for Pep Guardiola’s men. He can open up defence and create chances for his team mates.
