Chelsea F.C. supporters are already convinced the club have sealed a deal with transfer target Leandro Paredes after the player re-tweeted a ‘Welcome to Chelsea’ video on Twitter.
Having sanction the transfer of Cesc Fabregas to Monaco on Friday, it’s believed that the club is bent on finding a skillful replacement and if Paredes’ video re-tweet on Twitter is anything to go by, we would be looking forward to see more of him as a Chelsea player.
The Argentine has to his name 10 goals and 15 assists while in Russia. In 2017 he signed a deal with Zenit St. Petersburg following spells at Boca Juniors, Chievo, Roma, and Empoli, and Chelsea can now be the next club on his CV.
Chelsea boss however, did not give any details about any of the club’s impending transfer or who is in line to replace Fabregas, saying in the aftermath of his side 2-1 victory against Newcastle United at the Stamford Bridge that he has no idea if the club find a replacement for Fabregas.
He said as quoted via the Sportsman:
“I have no idea.
“The club knows very well my opinion. I need a player there.
“It depends on the club decision. I cannot do anything more.”
