Championship giants Aston Villa are on the verge of losing Tammy Abraham, who is on-loan with the Villains from Chelsea.
According to report from The Sun, the British tabloid are reporting that Abraham is set to cut short his loan deal with Villa after an initial £18 million bid has been offered by Wolves for his services.
The 21-year-old has been on a loan deal to spend the season with the Villains. However, it appears Abraham, who has 16 goals and one assist to his name, is about to face the exit door with Championship giants.
The Villains are doing or what they could to develop themselves in other secure a promotion to the Premier league next season and the exit of Abraham will be a huge blow.
However, in the aftermath of Abraham’s exit from the club, Smith should consider the signing of AFC Bournemouth’s Jermain Defoe as reports from Sky Sports suggests the England international is free to leave the Cherries.
Defoe has made 57 appearances with 20 goals and he’s currently earning £65,000 per week with the Cherries, according to the Scottish Sun. He has earned himself good remarks so far at every club he has played with and could be a better replacement to Abraham.
