Reports coming from Spanish news blog Don Balon is claiming Zinedine Zidane has already begun talks to take over the reigns of Manchester United. The Spanish outlet says Zidane will be the Old Trafford club new boss when current boss Jose Mourinho decides to leave the club whilst adding that there are some requirements if Zidane is to be the club’s new manager.

The three-time Champions League winning boss has been out of work since his surprising exit from Real Madrid at the end of the season following that third successive Champions League triumph. But this week speculation has risen once again that the French legend will return to management.

The Frenchman has showed desire to return to club management and when questioned about if he would return to management, Zidane said:

“Yes surely. Soon I will return to training because it is what I like and is what I have done all my life.”

Mourinho’s future at Old Trafford has come under serious scrutiny since past couple of weeks after his side succumb to back-to-back defeats at the hands and Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur but this looks slightly after wins against Burnley and put an end to Watford’s unbeaten run.

Manchester United fans showed support for the Portuguese manager, with fans chanting Mourinho’s name after the 3-0 defeats to Tottenham. However, there are whole host of people who want the former Chelsea boss out due to his “boring” style of play.

Mourinho, himself, has always judged himself as a title winning manager after an unsuccessful season last campaign, it is imperative that United win a trophy this year if he is to keep his job.

The appointment of Zidane as Mourinho’s successor would change everything at the club and it’s believed the France and Real Madrid legend has some big plans for the club if he is given the job.
