Harry Kane

Luis Suarez may have won almost everything there is to win with Barcelona, but with the Uruguayan striker fast approaching his 32, the La Liga giants are looking at options to rebuild their attack for the future.

As reported by Spanish news outlet Don Balon, the Spanish outlet confirm that Barca are interested in signing another forward to the club and whoever it is that would replace Suarez “must be a top-level player” which reports claim to be Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.

Since breaking into Tottenham’s squad in 2014/15, Harry Kane has won two Golden Boots and is one of the hottest striker in market today. In total 216 appearances across all competitions, Kane has netted an incredible 142 goals for Tottenham so far.

Without any doubts, Kane is arguably the best Premier League striker over the past few years and has attracted top interest from across the continent. The Catalan giants’ fierce rivals Real Madrid were also reported to be interested in the England international this summer.

However, the report from Don Balon state it would take an hefty figure to price Kane away from Tottenham, with the Spurs chairman regarded as a hard man to deal with Tottenham reportedly rejecting Real Madrid’s approach for Kane with a strong “back off” reply, and the answer to Barcelona is likely to be the same should they come calling for him.

Kane is currently contracted with Tottenham until the end of 2023/24 season. However, Kane’s future at Tottenham could later be determined by Spurs chances of winning any silverware, particularly if Barcelona are very serious about signing him.

Barcelona’s interest at raiding the Premier league seems to be a realistic option. Suarez joined Barcelona in 2014 for a fee thought to be about £75m from Liverpool and in today’s current crazy transfer market, Tottenham could be earning double to triple of that if they are to sell Kane to Barcelona.

A striker is a top priority for Barca and they will eventually come knocking next summer for Kane. Should Luis Suarez keeps showing signs of decline in performance, coupled with Tottenham’s lack of winning any trophy, Harry Kane would need to a rethink with who he’s committing his future with.
