According to Foot 365 via The S*n, Arsenal could agree a shock deal for Manchester United outcast Marouane Fellaini this summer, with the midfielder expected to depart Old Trafford at the end of his contract.

Fellaini has rejected the chance to extend his deal with the Red Devils and is now believed to be a target for the Gunners who are in need of midfield reinforcements as they could be losing Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey.

Wilshere is out of contract this summer and has yet to agree to an extension. Ramsey has 12 months left on his deal but is also delaying signing. Arsenal will cash in on Ramsey this summer if they can’t tie him down to a new deal, as they want to get some money back rather than losing him for free next year.

Fellaini wouldn’t exactly be a like-for-like replacement, but he would provide some physicality in an area Arsenal have long needed to strengthen. The Gunners aren’t the only club interested in his signature, however, with AS Monaco, AC Milan, Besiktas and Olympique Marseille also reportedly keen.

The midfielder joined United from Everton in 2013 and has gone on to make 156 appearances in all competitions, winning one Europa League crown, one FA Cup and one League Cup.

Fellaini’s fallen down the pecking order in the last 12 months, however, making just five Premier League starts, which may be why he’s keen to leave United this summer.
