Sean Dyche’s Burnley side host Chelsea at Turf Moor in Thursday’s Premier League meeting.

Burnley have won their last five league games on the bounce and are just two points adrift of sixth-placed Arsenal.

Chelsea, on the other hand, ended their two-match losing streak last weekend with a comeback win over relegation threatened Southampton.

They’re seven points adrift fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur in the race for the final Champions League spot, but may struggle away to the high-flying Clarets.

Players to watch:

Chris Wood – Burnley:

The New Zealand international returned from injury last month to help Burnley’s bid for European football.

Wood has scored five goals in his last six Premier League appearances after a two-month layout due to a knee problem.

The 26-year-old could be key to victory for Burnley this week.

Olivier Giroud – Chelsea:

Giroud came off the bench to score two goals as Chelsea came from 2-0 down against Southampton to win 3-2.

The 31-year-old, who joined the Blues from Arsenal in January, has scored and created six goals in 11 appearances under Antonio Conte.

During his time at Arsenal, he built up the reputation of being an impact player who could settle games as a substitute, and may be key from the bench against Burnley.

Prediction:

Burnley have been impressive at Turf Moor this season, suffering just five defeats from 16 at home in the Premier League. Chelsea will be wary of the Clarets’ threat as a result.

And with the visitors having lost three of their last four away from home, Conte’s men might fall short on Thursday night. There could be goals at Turf Moor, but it’s hard to decide between Burnley and Chelsea.
