Celtic have been given a boost with goalkeeper Craig Gordon expected to return against Dundee in Wednesday night’s Scottish Premiership clash, reports Daily Record.
The 35-year-old has been sidelined since January with a knee injury, missing seven league games for the Hoops, but he could be in line to start against Neil McCann’s side, which would be his 200th appearance for Celtic. Scott Bain and Dorus de Vries have deputized in the Scottish international’s absence.
Gordon, who joined the Bhoys on a free transfer in 2014, has made 23 appearances in the Scottish Premiership this season, conceding 16 goals and keeping 12 clean sheets. His Celtic side are nine points clear at the summit after 31 games.
Ahead of their meeting with Dundee, Brendan Rodgers’ men have 42 points more than the visitors in the table and have picked up three wins and two draws from their last five league games. Dundee, however, have lost three of their last four outings, amassing a single point from a possible 12.
Gordon missed Celtic’s previous meeting with Dundee in mid-October but the former Hearts and Sunderland stopper looks set to feature this time round to make his milestone appearance.
