The season is just three months to go and apart from few recorded appearances with varying performances levels, Celtic’s £8million man looks keen on a move back to France.
Odsonne Edouard was signed as a substitute for both Leigh Griffiths and Moussa Dembele. Due to both being injured, the young French striker rose up the pecking order but his performance has been inconsistent – much what you would expect from a youngster.
The player’s hat-trick against Motherwell the best moment of his time so far.
However, considering Edouard’s buy-out clause stands £8 million – there’s very little the striker can do in the next three months that would convince anybody at Parkhead to spend so much cash for the young lad.
It is certain Odsonne will get game time before the season comes to an end. Brendan Rodgers playing the 20-year-old in the later stages of the game to help hold the ball up and take pressure off his midfield and defense.
While he’s not yet at the top of his game, he’s certainly had his moments.
Would Celtic make the player’s move from PSG permanent if they significantly lowered their asking price? Still highly unlikely.
