Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is reportedly keen on his side selling Isco in the summer, and is a firm admirer of Chelsea and Belgium star Eden Hazard.

Real’s sale of Isco would be a step that would open the door for the Los Blancos to sign the Chelsea star, who has repeatedly been linked with a move to the club in recent years, all the more so given Zidane is a known admirer of the Chelsea attacker – having recommended him to Los Merengues in 2010.

Meanwhile, the Belgian star has on several occasions publicly said that he idolises Zidane. Hazard’s one of the Premier League’s leading star, the Belgian star has been among the few positives in Chelsea squad this season, with 13 goals across all competition (Isco has scored seven) making him the reigning Premier League champions top scorer. Hazard also has nine assists to his name compared to six which Isco have, just one fewer to Brazilian and Chelsea star Willian, who is the Blues’ leader in that department.

Hazard, if reports claiming Real’s interest in him bears fruit, would cost the La Liga champions nothing below 200m euros.

Those are the figures of a player who, according to reports making British media, would demand a transfer fee of in excess of 200 million euros. Frequently the victim of Zidane’s ill-disguised predilection for the ‘bbC’, Isco has long had to live off first-team scraps contingent on at least one of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale being absent.

Despite that, ‘Zizou’ seemingly wants more from a player unable to shake off three unwanted tags: accidental starter, the first man taken off, substitute on the big nights.
