Celtic returned to competitive action this weekend, mauling Scottish Championship stragglers Brenchin City 5-0 in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
The Bhoys looked refreshed after their mid-season training camp in Dubai as Brendan Rodgers field a strong starting eleven, with seven of the players who played in last season’s final also playing on Saturday.
Celtic v Brenchin City was a match that the trophy holders were always to win and they dominated the entire 90 minutes, finding goals through James Forrest, Scott Sinclair, Olivier Ntcham, Dedryck Boyata and Odsonne Edouard.
The talking point from this clash was the decision to drop Moussa Dembele despite being fit, with Rodgers choosing to start Paris Saint-Germain loanee Edouard, with the ex-Fulham star spending the afternoon as an unused substitute.
Despite scoring his fifth goal of the season late on in the match, fans weren’t particular impressed by his performance, with some hoping to see Dembele reintroduced to regular action in the green and white jersey.
Celtic faithful took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his performance and we’ve selected the best tweets from the fans:

Me too. Not convinced. Too easy beat and decision making can be poor. Saying that good finish and good ball inside to Lustig for the goal.

Attack vs defence that one. Brechin are a poor team, could have had 10 if we wanted. Dont see us paying for Edouard to be honest, he's pretty average.

Next up, Celtic will be back in action in Matchday 23 Scottish Premiership when they travel to Firhill Stadium to take on Partick Thistle F.C. Fans will be hoping Dembele is giving the nod to start while Edouard gets dropped.
