Celtic, are not under duress of seeing their unbeaten record come to an end anytime soon, are looking to add more depth to their squad this transfer window.
The Bhoys manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed plans are in place to make the club summer loan signing from Paris Saint-Germain Odsonne Edouard the club’s record signing, but still insists neither the club or the player is in rush to finalize the deal.
There’s an option to make Edouard temporary contract a permanent one for £7million. A fee that will be more than any price Celtic have ever spent on any player and it’s only just some few days a way it reports are anything to go by for the transfer record to be broken.
Every Bhoys fans will welcome the idea of Celtic breaking the bank for Edouard following his impressive start to life at Parkhead.
Rodgers was asked about what the club and his plans for Edouard is and said:

“I will assess it at the end of the season. I have been really impressed by him and he is getting better and better each week.
“The boy has big talent and is a real worker as well. He works very hard for the team and he’s the type of performer I like.
“His English is getting better through lessons and he’s still only very young. He has a lot of potential there.
“He has grown each week he has been with us. It’s a case of assessing it. There’s no rush. It’s for both sides as well: he might love it with us; he might not. I know he is really enjoying it but there is no rush to commit on either side now.”
Despite the 19-year-old’s huge tasks in competing with Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths for a starting role in Rodgers’ XI, the PSG loanee record of 4 goals in 10 league appearances make him Celtic’s quality option.
The future of doub is currently in doubt. There’ve been reports upon reports linking the pair with exit from Parkhead but the Hoops can be rest assured of having replacement at hand.
He definitely worth Celtic smashing their most expensive record for, and Edouard is even a bargain for the fee.
