Rangers will have the chance to go top of the Premiership on Friday when they take on Patrick Thistle away in the evening kick-off.
The Gers is currently fourth, three points behind leaders Celtic with a -4 goal difference.[spacer height=”20px”]
If Pedro Caixinha’s side can beat Partick Thistle by four goals at Firhill on Firday night, they’ll go top for the first time since 2011.
And although the Hoops might well leapfrog them when they play their game against Ross County on Saturday, it will be a huge sign that things are moving in the right direction a going through a disappointing campaign last season.
The good news is that Rangers are banging goals at the moment – as it stands the Gers have only scored one less than Celtic and won their last two league games 3-0 (Ross County) and 4-1 (Dundee).
The Portuguese boss squad is developing after his summer acquisition and the good news is that Caixinha field a strong line-up and a relatively unchanged one from the side that won 4-1 last Saturday.
One change I think the Gers boss should consider is to drop the 33-year-old Niko Kranjcar in favour of Josh Windass.
The 23-year-old starred when he replaced his team-mate on Saturday, scoring and creating an assist, and that should be enough to see him win a starting place on Friday as Rangers go in search of the goal that would see moving to the top of the Premiership.
Here is the line-up which Football Weeks thinks will get Rangers the goals tomorrow and put them back on top of the table – well, it could be a day at least.
