The Citizens has spent huge amount of money at the start of this season but has not been able to compete for any kind of silverware yet this season. However, they have a chance in the FA Cup, Pep Guardiola will not be happy with the progress his side have made so far and will be looking to boost that in the summer. This has seen his side get linked with a number of superstars for a move in the summer but who among them that will make it to the Etihad remain to be seen

Goalkeeper – Gianluigi Donnarumma
AC Milan are confident of keeping their star goalie at San Siro, however, the urgent need of someone between the sticks might see Guardiola hijack him away from the Serie A giants. The Spaniard will have to pay a mouth-watering amount for his services but he will solve a genuine problem at the club and is well worth it.
Full-backs – Kyle Walker, Jordi Alba
Manchester City first choice full backs have been down the pecking order and the boss will be looking searching for an upgrade for both the flaks. One who has been linked with Guardiola is Tottenham’s Kyle Walker and the he’s likely to make the move to Manchester this summer. Also, another player on the book is Jordi Alba who is frustrated with the lack of playing time at Barcelona might find a reunion with his former boss at Etihad next season.
Defence – John Stones, Virgil van Dijk
Well, as John Stones has not been at his best, he is still young and should keep his place in the side next season while Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk could be the new man to partner him at the back. Nicolas Otamendi has been in great form this season and could be used as well. However, Saint’s Van Dijk would be the star addition to the Sky Blues’ defence this summer.
Midfield – Sergio Busquets, David Silva, Kevin de Bruyne
In the upcoming season, David Silva and Belgian attacker Kevin de Bruyne should keep their place in the midfield, Barcelona’s midfield machine Sergio Busquets could be the new face at the Etihad in the role next season. Guardiola would try to convince him coming to Manchester in the summer. Fernandinho has been decent but the Spanish boss will need someone like Bakayoko for new challenges next season.
Attack – Kylian Mbappe, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Antoine Griezmann
Dreamy as it might sound, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City can go for an overhaul in the summer and it is not beyond the manager to get these three attackers to the club next season. AS Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe is in the best form of his life and can rule Manchester for the years to come while the versatile former Borussia Dortmund playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan can play in a variety of roles at the club. Antoine Griezmann is not only their arch-rivals Manchester United target but also their target as well as they are keen on getting a star to replace Sergio Aguero and he should lead the attack for this exciting side.
However, City boss might find it difficult to bring each of his top targets to Etihad this summer and might have to settle for less-profile ones this summers. Guardiola will still be looking at other avenues for possible options.
