Arsenal coach Robert Pires suggest Manager Arsene Wenger will definitely agree to a new contract deal. He also said the tactician will need to make some changes in the club.
The Frenchman recently said he has decided what his next step will be but despite having agreed to the terms of a two-year extension offered to him, he has refused to disclose his decision.
Fans have been calling for Wenger’s resignation following series of failed matches. Protest was carried out against him where some club supporters were spotted recently holding a banner with ‘Wenger Out’ inscribed on it after the Gunners lost to West Brom. Two opposing plane banners was flown over the Hawthorns against and in support of a new deal.
Pires believes Wenger still wishes to be in charge at the Emirates, but he will have to change a lot of things to ensure the team’s growth.
“In my opinion, he will renew his contract, at least for one season. He is motivated and willing,” Pires told Spanish radio station Cadena SER via The Mirror.

“Arsene has an offer on the table. He has to sign it. He has the backing of the owner. The fans want to win the title and Arsenal are not doing that well. They are in the FA Cup semi-finals.
“He has to continue and if he does, he needs to change many things. That is the most important thing for him and for Arsenal.
“We will see what happens.”
Six of their last nine matches was disastrous, evicting them from the Champions League and they are presently at risk of not qualifying for the Champions League next season.
Wenger will once again be pressured on his future in the press conference to be held on Thursday morning ahead of Sunday’s home fixture against Manchester City.
Pires was, On 11 July 2008, voted by Arsenal fans as the club’s sixth greatest player of all time, and he now works at the club as a coach.
