Reports from the Daily Star confirmed West Ham United are hoping to bring Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu to London Stadium.

The 23-year-old joined AC Milan on loan in January till the end of the 2016-2017 season. He has previously been linked with the Hammers twice and now Slaven Bilic hopes for a breakthrough.

Bilic would be facing competition from the Rossoneri as they are now looking to permanently keep Deulofeu at the San Siro.

The buy-back clause Barcelona have in the Spaniard’s contract, activated when he joined Everton permanently in 2015, could also be a stumbling block in West Ham race to bring him to East London.

If Barcelona’s interest in Deulofeu has not diminish, he could move to Camp Nou for a reported fee of £10.3 million, while the Hammers would have to make an offer a bit higher than that of his former club if they hope to convince him to join them.

Should the winger agree to a move back to camp Nou, he would likely be sold or loaned out again just like his previous time with Barca.

The attacker was deemed surplus by Everton manager Ronald Koeman this season despite being a big part of their fine run of result for two consecutive season.

Deulofeu have had an outstanding performance at the San Siro, setting up three goals in nine appearances, which earned him a spot on the Spain senior squad for their friendlies against Israel and France.
