Chelsea won over local Rivals West Ham United at the weekend has taken the Blues closer to their second Premier League title in 3 years. In the same view qualifying for the Champions League next season and the Blues manager Antonio Conte is keen on bringing in new bloods to the squad who can help his side compete with the best in Europe. Out of many stars that have been linked to the Stamford Bridge recently, Real Madrid midfielder Isco is one that can lead the Blues midfield to the next level. However, in bringing him to England, the Blues will face stiff competition from League rivals Manchester City with the Sky Blues manager Pep Guardiola also said to be interested in his compatriot. But, we believe Isco should be a compulsory signing for West London outfit in the summer and here is why:

At just 24-year-old, the Benaldemadena born has already played close to 200 senior games in La Liga for the reigning European champions in and has registered 35 goals to his name. Isco has featured for the Spanish National team at every junior level and also has 17 appearances for the senior side. He has been with Real since 2013 notching more than 100 appearances but he has not been able to cement a place in Zinedine Zidane’s starting 11 for the Los Blancos. At his age, he is in search of some regular playing time and both the English clubs interested in him can guarantee him more playing time on the pitch than he can ever imagine of at the Bernabeu.

However, moving to Stamford Bridge, he could become there first choice midfielder replacing Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic. The former Juventus boss has a calibre of a player in N’Golo Kante who appears to be able to cover more than his position of the pitch in every game. Matic has been decent for the Blues in terms of defence but has bot been able to live up to expectation to help his side move forward.

The gem of player of Blues need is one who can create chances from a deeper role and the Spanish international could be the perfect ideal. His compatriot Fabregas has already been said to be seeking exit from the club and is likely he remains with the Chelsea at the start of next season. Hence, Isco would be a perfect successor for his countryman.

Isco would be the perfect solution for Blues midfield problems.
Isco would be the perfect solution for Blues midfield problems.

Capable of playing in an attacking role, Isco is a player who loves to keep the ball at the ground. He’s an excellent dribbler, with magnificent technique, it’s rare to see the Spaniard misplaces a pass even under severe pressure. Isco is more than capable of carrying the ball from the back into the final third but the Real midfielder is more adept at sitting deep and finding his teammates is dangerous zones.

The inclusion of Isco and Kante would be the best thing since slice bread. While the former Leicester City midfielder can sit deep and snub attacks out, Isco move freely around the field and worry less about turning defence into attack in no time. With 6 goals and 5 assists in just 12 appearances in the La Liga this campaign, Isco also knows every way towards the goal and will make the Blues attack even stronger.

The lone issue Chelsea could have with him is that he could a bit weak in the air but his more than packed with his sumptuous touches and deceiving turns. He also has a decent work rate that will certainly impress the Italian manager, making him an inch perfect idea to one of the few issues that the squad at Stamford Bridge is carrying this season.

Chelsea are desperately in need of a perfect supporting midfielder who can partner Kante next season there are very few midfielders out in the transfer market ready to move who are better than Isco from Bernabeu. Losing him to their rivals Manchester City would be a disaster for Conte as he will not only improve his direct title rival but will also leave his side searching for another player in the market who can fill the void space. The Blues are ready to spend big, but they will need a player who would make their heavy spending a worthwhile fitting in well with the 3-4-3 system. Isco per reports, is available at just around £30m, and would serve as the right man for Chelsea many years to come.

In your opinion, do you think Chelsea can afford to miss out on Isco this summer?
