Liverpool’s and England international Adam Lallana had reportedly signed a new three-year deal with Liverpool the will see him remain with the Reds until the summer of 2020, including an option to extend a year further and the wage according to the terms of the deal is believed to be £110,000 per week

Lallana, during his third season with the Reds, has registered 117 appearances for the Anfield giants and has seen the net 20 times, after his move from Southampton to Anfied in the summer of 2014 for a reported £25 million. He has become an important backbone in Jurgen Klopp’s team this season and as scored seven times in his 27 appearances, starting as an inclusion in the Red’s midfield three or the attacking trident.

Lallana speaking to LiverpoolFC.com, said:

“I’m very proud and feel quite humbled by the show of faith from the club and the manager in particular.”

“This is a really good place to be at the moment and, for a player who wants to be part of something special, I can’t think of a better club to commit your future to.”

Manager Jurgen Klopp too was full of praise for the midfielder and expressed his pleasure on the extension, saying per Express:

“This is fantastic news for the club because Adam is a great player and an even better person.”

“Adam is a natural leader and is so, so important within our team and also in the dressing room. Maybe on the outside his leadership is not seen as much as we see it each and every day at Melwood in everything he does. What I think is most exciting about this news is that this player is only just arriving at his peak.”

While there were some reservations about his extension among the fans earlier, there is no question that the Englishman has deserved his new deal and below highlighted reasons:

Lallana has improved under new boss Jurgen Klopp

Lallana joined the Reds two and a half years ago, the former Saints midfielder had failed to find to meet up with task at Anfield in his first season with the Reds. Under the Reds then-manager Brendan Rodgers, Lallana was down the pecking order in his debut season with Liverpool.

However, prior to the appointment of Jurgen Klopp as Red new manager in the aftermath of the season, there has been good results for Lallana. Under the German boss, the 28-year-old has grown leaps and bounds and he has become a blessing in disguise in the attacking machine that the Anfield giants has developed into under Klopp. This has been a remakable turnaround for the player, whose quality was undoubtedly but had found it tough to get going and has slowly begun to justify his value for the team.

Lallana is a Leader in The Team

Having captained Southampton during their rise back to prominence, Lallana has exhibited his leadership qualities over the years and can guide Liverpool through their period of resurgence under Klopp.

Before moving to Liverpool, had had captained Southampton during the Saints rise back to fame. he has displayed his leadership qualities over the years and can guide his side through their period of resurgence under the German boss.

Klopp himself admitted that the 28-year-old is an integral on and off the field for his side and can have a huge impact of the yet to come players through the ranks for Liverpool. Lallana isn’t afraid to let his opinion be heard by his teammates when needed and the Anfield giants could benefit massively from having such an influential player in the ranks for the years to come.

Still has more to offer as he’s yet to reach his peak

Undoubtedly, judging his new rise to form, it’s harm to say that the English is yet to reach his peak and will only continue to get better like a French Bordeaux wine which get better as it age.

However, he isn’t the fastest player on the field of play, but he is extremely quick in his thinking and his fast conclusion has made look like the master of the game. These good qualities are something that can futher get better with age and experience. His technical abilities is another thing that will keep him in good stead in the coming years. And his fitness levels are always up to the mark as well, consequence of this, the work-rate he has become publicly known for will not fend off either.

Hence, there is no question that Lallana has plenty left to offer for Liverpool and signing this deal is the best thing for both the club and the player.
