The Magpies are gradually climbing their way back to the top after they have proved to be better than most of the Championship team. Benitez no doubt deserves the credit for the club’s improvement as he has put in a lot of effort in building up the Squad after they went on relegation.
Most of his players are much more skillful than other championship players and they are eager to prove their worth in the Premier League next term.
As Newcastle make their way back to the top tier next season, here are 3 players who would make Premier League more pleasant to watch.
Dwight Gayle
The English man would be motivated to perform well after he was deemed surplus by Crystal Palace if only to prove Sam Allardyce wrong.
Allardyce lost faith in Gayle’s ability to find the net in the topflight the way he does in Championship. With this, it is safe to expect a remarkable performance from Gayle next season.
The 26-year-old already has 20 league goals to boast of and would be looking to make an impression on the England international team in order to earn a call up in time for next year’s World Cup.
Gayle still has most of his career ahead of him and he can only get better. He would surely be of help to Newcastle towards achieving Premier League title.
Jonjo Shelvey
Shelvey have been considered severally for Player of the Year honor following his fine run of result and he can only be expected to improve beyond his current status.
The 24-year-old is responsible for the midfield perfection Newcastle now experiences and he is the link between the defense and attack. All this makes him indispensable and necessary to the development of the team.
He would be hoping to get a spot on the England International team and he would need to put up an eye-catching performance if he is to gain a spot on the team in time for the 2018 World Cup.
Having made a name for himself in the second-tier he would not find it difficult making headway in the topflight.
Matt Ritchie
The Scottish had immense success at Bournemouth before he joined newly-relegated Newcastle last year. A month later he scored his first goal for the Magpies in a match against Reading and he has remained essential part of their success.
The 27-year-old has received the Player of the Year honor twice and has 8 goals and 6 assists in 30 Championship appearances to his name and only Dwight Gayle has surpassed his record his record so far.
He is a player to watch out for next season.
