Manchester United had an amazing start to this season and they remain unbeaten with their fine run of result. Jose Mourinho will be happy with his team’s record this term and will be eager to map out a new future. Mourinho have started renewing the contract of his first team players but he has decided to let Spanish playmaker Juan Mata go.

Mata joined the Red Devils in January 2014 from Chelsea and has been a consistent player ever since and his performance this season has been top notch. The 28-year-old scored Manchester United first goal of the Premier League this season with a tap in. Mourinho, however wants to sign new players and once again deemed Mata surplus but here are three reasons for him to stay on at Old Trafford:

His youthfulness:

The Spaniard at 28 still has most of his career ahead of him. His experience, gained at the highest level of the game, would help Manchester United in winning games with his ability to take decisive action in an instant. He is a player who makes impact and Mourinho would regret selling him should he go through with the plan.

His absence would leave a void:

There would be lot of players for Mourinho to pick from in the summer transfer window to reinforce his squad but it will be hard to find a perfect replacement for Mata with his combination of skill and experience. The Manager would be willing to spend millions to acquire his replacement but he might never find the right one.

Output:

The previous season was a season to remember for Mata, scoring 6 goals and 7 assists making him the highest goal scorer for Manchester United. Although he was not frequently used by Mourinho, he made huge impact in team this season. Mata deserves to be named one of the most productive Manchester United’s player He is a player capable of winning games without assist. The Red Devils will be in a better position to compete in any game with his presence.
