Chelsea have not relent in their title race and their 3-1 win over Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday gave them nine points lead at the top of the league table after 24 games played.

They have continued to assert their dominance in the Premier League this season and their incredible performances has seen them overtaken their rivals in the title race in the most fashionable way, remaining at the summit of the table as far back as November.

Antonio Conte has taken everyone by surprise with the way he has transformed the club and looks set to win the Premier League in his first season in England. They have only dropped five points in their last 18 matches.

The question now is can they beat Man United’s biggest title-winning margin? Sir Alex Ferguson led Man United in the 1999/2000 season won the league by an astonishing 18 points ahead of Arsenal in the second place.

Obviously, Conte is much more concerned about winning the league than beating records. They failed to break the record for the most consecutive league wins losing to Tottenham in that match.

Chelsea have only Man United and Man City to play against in the top six and they have not had any problem defeating clubs on the other side of the table, giving them a clear chance of beating that record.

However, with Arsenal and Liverpool 12 and 13 points respectively away from the top, Tottenham are capable of giving Chelsea a good chase as well as the resurgent Man City.
