Manchester United have been able to pull a string of positive performances together in their last three games across all competitions, winning two of those, probably due to the inclusion of Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the two games. It looks as if the results are starting to gel together.

Mkhitaryan joined United in the summer from Borussia Dortmund for £27 million and expectations were high on him to deliver but he has been limited to the bench following a shaky start to his United career.

He was a performer at Dortmund, scoring 23 goals and creating 32 assists. He was included in the Bundesliga team of the season.

After much cry from the fans who been clamouring for him following his beautiful displays in his country qualifying match against Montenegro, Jose Mourinho succumbed to their pressure starting the Armenian international in the 4-0 demolition of Feyernood in the Europa League, in what was only his second start of the season.

He showed them exactly what they have been missing as he tore the Dutch team apart almost single-handedly.

He also started against West Ham in the league cup and was able to register his first couple of assists for the Reds. His back-heel pass led to Zlatan Ibrahimovic goal and also created an opportunity for Anthony Martial to score.

His creativity, accurate pass, electric pace, ability to tackle are something United have missed.

Jose Mourinho was wrong not to have been starting him in games. He could be the missing link in United attack.

It is obvious his previous assessments of the attacker was wrong. United fans will expect to see more of him regularly in the coming games.
