The Premier League witnessed the influx of star players in the summer. The league has seen suffered the departure of  big players to Spain most especially in recent seasons and this also coincided with the inability of English teams to win the Champions League and Europa League since 2012 and 2013 respectively which were both won by Chelsea in those years.

The signing of Paul Pogba made it the first an English team club will sign a player for a world record fee. the French midfielder made the switch from Italian club Juventus to Man United for £89M.The previous record fees of £80M and £85M saw the departure of Crisitano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale to Real Madrid in 2009 and 2013 respectively.

Clubs in the Premier League spent over £1 billion in the transfer market for the first time ever in the summer. Icons like Zlatan Ibrahimovic arrived England and are already proving their worth in the arguably most demanding league in the world.

This list comprises of player who moved to the Premier League from other league and have starred for their respective clubs.

Granit Xhaka               –        Arsenal

His red card in the match against Swansea apart, the 24-year-old Swiss midfielder has started justifying his £35M move from Borussia Monchengladbach. He returned against Tottenham following a three-match ban and put on an impressive display. A string of matches will definitely settle him properly in the league.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic      –        Manchester United

Arriving as a free agent after a trophy-laden spell at French side PSG, Ibrahimovic, 35, is one of the deadliest strikers in the world. He registered his name in the Premier League with three goals in his first two matches. Taken back by a period of goal drought he bounced back with double against Swansea at the weekend and has scored eight goals so far. We should expect more goals from him.
