Leicester City have been told to offer a whooping €20m fee if they want to sign their summer target in SPAL striker Andrea Petagna.

As reported by Italian news outlet Calcio Mercato, the Serie A side are set to sign him permanently at the end of the season, which they are now looking to exercise discretion.

Petagna joined SPAL on loan last summer and agreed a €10m option to sign the forward permanently at the end of the season, which they are now looking to exercise this summer.

However, the report claims that Leicester City remain interested in the Italy U21 international and could make a move to sign him permanently with reports that he could potentially make a profit on the Italian forward.

The 23-year-old netted 16 goals in the Serie A this past season, also with one goal in Cup competitions, which was only five less than Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo’s goals for Juventus.

Leicester City are said to be “more convinced than ever” about his brilliant performance and quality and he has been scouted severally by Spurs scouts since the January transfer window, as they look to strengthen the core of their team.
