Pogba and Eriksen

Inter Milan have begun talks with Tottenham Hotspur in a bid to making a summer swoop to sign Denmark international Christian Eriksen, according to reports.

Eriksen’s current contract with the North London club expires next summer and he is also a reported target for Real Madrid and Juventus.

The Dane has yet to sign an improved deal with the Premier League giants, meaning Spurs may have to cash on him this summer in order to avoid losing the midfielder for nothing.

And according to Italian news outlet Tuttosport, the Serie A giants have entered race for the 27-year-old with the club’s director of football Piero Ausilio, have begun preliminary talks to lure Eriksen to the San Siro this summer.

Inter, who are currently third in Serie A with 27 points off the top, are looking to close the gap on leaders Juventus and second-placed Napoli.

The Nerazzuri’s have just seven games remaining and the club is on the verge of losing Mauro Icardi and Ivan Perisic in the summer.

Eriksen, however, is viewed as one kind of a player who can make Inter a force in the Serie A as they look to challenge for the Serie A title they are yet to since 2010.

However, there a huge competition for Inter in the race to sign the attacking-midfielder with Real Madrid also reportedly keen on signing the Middelfart-born, who’s likely to command an hefty £130million fee.

Eriksen has 201 Premier League appearances for Tottenham since joining the club from Ajax in 2013 and have been involved in 107 goals for club in that run.
