It’s no longer news that Leicester City have parted ways with Claude Puel following poor strings of result which saw his side lost seven of their last nine Premier League may matches.

His last game as the Foxes manager ended in a disappointing 4-1 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday and the board members couldn’t pardon his incompetence any longer.

The board members have since been in search of a perfect replacement for the Frenchman since Sunday and couple of names are being linked with the vacant position.

According to report via Sky Sports News, former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is the favorite man for the Job. The Danish tactician is currently with Celtic in the Scottish league but he never deny his desire to return to Premier League anytime soon.

Meanwhile, former Manchester United manager David Moyes has equally declared his desire to link up with the Foxes before the end of the season, that’s according talkSPORT.

No doubt, the former Everton manager is an experienced tactician but he is NOT the best man for the job.

During his days at Goodison Park with Everton, Moyes showed some great managerial skills as he helped the team maintain their position as a mid-table team.

However, a quest for greater height saw him move to Manchester United as Sir Alex Ferguson’s replacement in 2013. The position appeared too demanding and too big for the 55-year-old.

He woefully failed to carry on from where his compatriot stopped. Instead, he created new but unwanted records at Old Trafford as many struggling clubs, such as West Brom, Newcastle, and Everton , picked maximum points at Old Trafford — a venue known as ‘The Theater of nightmares’ to opponents.

Unsurprisingly, Moyes was sacked by the Red Devils hierarchy having spent just 10 months at the helm of affairs.

He subsequently joined Real Sociedad, Sunderland and West Ham but he never lived up to expectations throughout his days with the three clubs.

He is currently without a job ; nonetheless, giving him an opportunity to manage their team would be Leicester City’s greatest undoing because Moyes style of play is almost similar to Puel’s tactical discipline.

Moyes want his players to win games via physical approach, hence, he often lay emphasis on his players physical strength and appearance.

This approach is contrary to Leicester’s traditional playing style which enhance counter-attacking football. The Foxes always play to Iheanacho and, especially, Vardy’s strength — which is their pace — hence hiring a manager with different tactical discipline could be dangerous to their long-term future.
