According to Football Weeks sources, Celtic winger James Forrest is set to sign a new deal with the club.
The Scottish champions have been in talks with the player over a new deal for several weeks and terms have reportedly been agreed on a new long-term contract.
Forrest’s previous deal was due to expire at the end of this season, the Hoops have moved to tie him down to a new four-year contract that will see him with his boyhood club until the summer of 2022.
Forrest has come through the ranks at Celtic and has established himself as a key player in Brendan Rodgers’ side during the last few seasons.
Scotland international Forrest has made over 300 appearances for Celtic and scored 57 goals for the Bhoys during his time at Parkhead.
News of Forrest’s new deal will come as a massive boost to Celtic boss Rodgers after their worst start to a league season in 20 years.
