According to The S*n, Celtic are interested in Dundee midfielder Glen Kamara. The 22-year-old has impressed in his debut season at Dens Park and could be on the move this summer as a result.

Regarded as one of the best midfielders in the Scottish Premiership and a player who impressed against Celtic in a 0-0 draw earlier this month, Kamara could be available for a bargain price of £1m.

Dundee are resigned to losing their star player in the coming months as they can’t financial compete, but manager Neil McCann is desperate to keep him.

Signed by Dundee from Arsenal last summer, the Finnish international has gone on to make 41 appearances in all competitions. As for the Dees, they are ninth in the division, five points clear of the drop zone after 33 games.

Kamara’s move to Scotland came as a result of a lack playing time at Arsenal, having been loaned out Southend and Colchester before leaving, and even took a pay cut at Dundee just so he could sign for them and play.

Rangers and Celtic are both keen to keep him in the country, but Swansea City want him back in the English top flight. Such interest could hamper Celtic’s bid to bring Kamara to Parkhead, although they could guarantee him more playing time than if he returned to the Premier League.
