According to the Scottish Sun, Celtic are looking to have a deal agreed for a potential loan move for Sheffield Wednesday star Keiran Westwood.
The Scottish champions are once again on course for a title winning in Scotland this season but the club have been dealth a fair blow this month as they look to do that.
Indeed, the club’s No. 1 between the sticks Craig Gordon is set to be out for months with an injury and Celtic now need to get a new man in that position with them looking short in terms of option at the goal.

According to the above report, it also confirmed that club have made a move to try and get Scott Bain in but they are also weighing up a loan move for the Owls’ keeper Westwood.
Despite Wednesday struggling for form this season, the goalkeeper is still regarded as one of the best shot-stopper in the Championship and a vital part of the Hillsborough outfit’s team.
Wednesday doesn’t look bound to want to keep hold of the goalkeeper for the rest of the season, then, but if Celtic do make a move for him, it’ll be interesting to see exactly what happens with Owls set for a mid-table finish this year.
Westwood is a very good goalkeeper and certainly a capable replacement for Craig Gordon.
It would have to take a very attractive loan offer for the Owls to even consider letting him go north of the border, though.
