Leeds United fans has taken to Twitter to rage about the performance of attacker Kemar Roofe in their 1-0 defeat to Reading Saturday afternoon.

The 24-year-old was given opportune to start ahead of Stuart Dallas and Ezgjan Alioki against Jaap Stam’s side after netting six goals in his first 12 appearances of the season.

However, Roofe struggled to make an impact on his third consecutive start, all of which have coincided with defeats for Thomas Christiansen’s side.

The former Oxford forward started on the right wing but he lasted only 68 minutes before he pave way for Hadi Sacko in a game that was balanced by former Leeds loanee Modou Barrow, who scored the game’s only goal when cooled his composure to put his side in front in the 85th minute.

Roofe who has summed up playing at Elland Road in one word – “exciting” performance against Reading was not what the fans were looking up to.

“It’s exciting,” Roofe told Radio Yorkshire when asked about playing at Elland Road. “It’s hard to explain the feeling, but you just get an extra buzz.”

The home side had a great chance to earn a share of the points but Pablo Hernandez’s stoppage-time penalty was saved by Lonergan’s opposite number Vito Mannone.

The Elland Road faithful took to Twitter en masse in the aftermatch of the clash to rage into Roofe and suggest he is not up to the task.
