Tottenham Hotspurs have reportedly had a mega offer for Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon rejected, according to reports.
The Mirror claim that the north London club have submitted a sensational £25million bid for the 17-year-old and that it has been emphatically turned down.
It is believed that the Championship club are insisting their highly-rated teenager is not for sale at any given price and he only signed a three-year deal with Fulham in June.
Sessegnon is one of the move coveted teenager player in English football and his ability in the left-wing role has been compared to former Tottenham winger Gareth Bale.
Sessegnon currently plays as a left-back and has been tipped to push further forward in the future due to his attacking talents.
Tottenham are still yet to sign anyone in the summer window, but it appears they are going all out to rectify that in the remaining couple of weeks.
The 17-year old is already one of the best players in the Championship at his age and looks to have an immense future ahead of him.
The fact that the north London club are willing to cough £25million to sign him shows how they value him, but they will need to add to that price to land the teenager.
Danny Rose faces an uncertain future at the White Hart Lane and they may need a new left-back in to replace him.
Sessegnon already looks ready to make the step up to the top flight and could compete alongside Ben Davies for a starting XI position.
Tottenham would be snapping up one of the best young talents around in Sessegnon and it seems ridiculous now but a fee of just over £25million could turn out to be a huge bargain in the future.
The Championship side have shown real resolve to reject £25million for one single player as that money could help them make huge improvements to their team in other positions.
However, they seem adamant that the youngster can continue his development at Craven Cottage and did managed to make him sign a contract during the summer.
Spurs manager however, has shown a real willingness to promote youth during his time at Tottenham and all young players should be wanting to play under the Argentinian boss.
Sessegnon is destined to become a Premier League star and Spurs may be prepared to up their bid, but it’s unclear whether a deal can be pulled off this summer.
