Barcelona are showing huge interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Ousmane Dembele as a replacement for the recently departed Neymar.
Dembele was superb form last season during his debut season with the Bundesliga giants, netting six goals and adding a further 12 assists in 32 top flight matches as they ended the season third and won the DFB-Pokal.
After joining the club last summer, the 20-year-old is seen as one Europe’s top young players and the German club does not want to sell him, and German outlet Bild believe Peter Bosz’s side have placed a €100 million ($117 million) price tag on him in order to chase off interest from Barcelona.
However, the Catalan giants are in need of a replacement for Neymar, who has joined French side Paris Saint-German in a world record transfer worth £200m, and could reinvest some funds into singing the former Rennes forward.
They could target some of the world’s other top starlets, with Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe, Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala and Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann both being line up on a wish list of potential replacements for Neymar.
Mbappe is one of the most coveted youngsters in European football, while the Argentinian impressed during his side’s run to the Champions League final last season and Griezmann was on Manchester United wishlist earlier in the summer after he bagged 16 La Liga goals during the 2016-17 season.
With Neymar leaving Barcelona, Barca need a third attacker to link up with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez as Ernesto Valverde’s side look to regain La Liga title from arch rivals Real Madrid.
