This summer is expected to be a very busy one for Celtic with manager Brendan Rodgers is keen on strengthening his unbeaten domestic squad, as well as hoping to fend off interest for Stuart Armstrong, Moussa Dembele and Jodi Simunovic.
The one player likely to leave Rodger’s side this summer is Celtic young player of the year, with reports claiming Premier League club are watching his situation with the club. Sales would be the last thing the Irish manager would want to focus on, as strengthening the squad is needed in order to improve The Celts Champions League form. Here we take a closer look at 3 Premier League players Rodgers could go for in the coming months.
Lucas Leiva (Liverpool)

Having spent ten years at Liverpool, with some time with Brendan Rodgers, Lucas Leica may well consider finding a greener pasture. Moving to Celtic could be the best option, and The Hoops count not afford to turn down the chance of signing this experience player and he is someone who would be comfortable in the Champions League.
Assuming they could afford his wages, the 30-year-old Brazilian would be an excellent addition to their ranks.
Viktor Fischer (Middlesbrough)

Now out of the league, Viktor Fischer was in the best form of life in the Premier League with the Boro’s and has top their quality. He only played 13 games (6 starts) for Middlesbrough in the Premier Leagur last campaign without managing to net a goal and that was only as a result of lack of opportunities.
He moved to Middlesbrough from Ajax last summer but failed to live up in England. There have been reported interest from clubs in Netherlands, but he appears to fit the bills as far as Rodgers is concerned and so Celtic should try and target him.
Fabio Borini (Sunderland)

Although the former Liverpool man is out of the Premier League, Borini is still under contract at recently relegated Sunderland and so a reasonable fee would be needed to secure his services. The Black Cats’ finances are in a fire way with over £100million in debt and they are sure to sell off some of their assets over the next few months.
Fabio Borini, though not as good as Dembele, would be a better option in the Champions League than Leigh Griffiths and could add the extra bit of quality needed in those European matches.
