Here is a look at three transfer target including Malaga’s Sandro Ramirez Tottenham’s boss Mauricio Pochettino should avoid making the move for this summer.
Mauricio Pochettino has bagged more Premier League points compared to every other manager since the beginning of the previous season but his team’s display have not been encouraging enough. With Champions League not far off, the manager will be looking to reinforce the squad with more capable players to increase their chances in the European game. This might see them sign players who just recently made their way to the transfer market. However, they will need to be careful to avoid signing players who could later become a liability. Here are three previous targets Pochettino should avoid at all cost this summer:
Ross Barkley (Everton)
The English star is one of England’s most exciting midfielder at the moment but it is taking hoim too long to come into himself. At 23, he is still in his prime and could come with a low price tag. But his record of 5 goals and 9 assists in 34 appearances across all competition this season shows he is not at his best. Spurs do not need to take on another Moussa Sissoko and should avoid dealing for this Everton star, who is yet to find direction.
Sandro Ramirez (Malaga)
The former Barcelona star is a good prospect and just 21, is a good option for Tottenham. He is one of the best finisher in the La Liga and would be a good back-up for Harry Kane at White Hart Lane ths summer. However, he has been unable to produce good result with just 11 goals and 2 assists across all competition this season and his performance has deteriorated of late. He could prove to be another Vincent Janssen if he goes to the Lane and that would not be a welcome development.
Luke Shaw (Manchester United)
Constantly at the receiving end of Jose Mourinho’s criticism, Luke Shaw has potential in abundance and could become one of the best full-backs in Europe. At 21, he still has most of his career ahead of him but presently he is still struggling to stay in form and he picks up injury at any opportunity. Tottenham needs a more consistent player than Shaw to improve their play next season. The former Southampton man could grow into a formidable player in the future but presently, he needs to sort himself out. He is definitely not the best option for Spurs this summer.
