Manchester United were silent in the January transfer window as they prepare for summer spending spree in a bid to continue with the overhaul of the team. They have been continuously linked with a move for Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.

The Reds have also been linked with big money move for some players too and it is reported that the club will sanction the sale of some of their players to fund the summer spending.

French superstar Griezmann 25, who has netted 16 goals in 33 games this season is expected to cost United up to £86 million and United is ready to sell three stars of the club to provide fund for the signing of the Madrid forward.

United have already sols Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay to Everton and Lyon respectively for a combined fee of £33M. And as per the latest report, Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial and Marouane Fellaini could also be sold for United to get the Atletico Madrid striker in the summer.

Rooney’s playing time has drastically reduced under Jose Mourinho and has been linked with mega-money move to the Chinese Super League. The England skipper who has only 18 months left on his current contract wanted to end his career at Old Trafford but United may prefer to cash in on him.

Martial was arguably the Red Devils’ best player last season, having joined them from Monaco in a £36m deal but he has struggled to impress Mourinho and it appears the former Chelsea boss is ready to listen to offers for him.

Also the much-maligned Marouane Fellaini could be on his way out of the club as well as Ashley Young and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
