Arsenal star Mesut Ozil contract issue is still up in the air and no conclusion has been reached as far as his future at the club is concerned. The midfielder is believed to be demanding for a bumper increase to commit his future to the club.
The German playmaker alongside teammate Alexis Sanchez have continued to keep the club in the dark and they have been linked with several European big clubs who have shown interest in them and monitoring their situations at the Emirates.

Arsene Wenger have been sweating over the contract of the two who both have 18 months left on their individual contract and the latest news has it that both Spanish giants Barcelona and Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are interested in the services of Ozil.
The Daily Mirror quoted that Barcelona have already contacted the Emirates hierarchy about the 28-year-old and would make a move in the summer if given the green light. Bayern Munich are also keen to bring him back to Germany if he is to quit the London club.
Ozil has said that he will wait till Wenger’s future at the club is sorted out before making his decision. Wenger’s contract at the Emirates expires at the end of the season and there hasn’t been any discussion of extending his contract.

Ozil started his career at Schalke and also played for Werder Bremen before leaving the Bundesliga for Real Madrid in 2010. Barcelona missed out on signing him in 2010 and are ready to make a second attempt but face competition from Bayern.
He moved to Arsenal in 2013 and has been important to the team. He now has three options at his disposal; whether to remain at Arsenal or to return to Spain or go back to his homeland.
