Thierry Henry gave his opinion of Alexis Sanchez’s contract stand off at Arsenal and shows he despairs to see the Chilean extend his contract with the club.

Sanchez’s future at The Emirates seems shaky and his former side manager Arsene Wenger risk loosing his star man should he fail to come up with new terms to tie him down.

German international Mesut Ozil is facing predicament but he has announced he will be renewing his contract with Arsenal.

The Chile International has proved to be one of the Premier League’s top attacking players since his move to the Emirates from Barcelona in the summer of 2014. He has already being credited with 14 goals and 7 assist this season.

Henry made his opinion on Sanchez’s future at Arsenal known when he was asked by Sky Sports:: “I want him to sign, everybody wants him to sign.

“That’s a tricky one for the club. That’s why you have guys there to be able to deal with that.

“But, as an Arsenal fan, I want Alexis Sanchez to stay for life because he is the future of the club. Same with Mesut Ozil”

The french man believes if Sanchez is to leave Arsenal after his contract expires this summer, he might not join another Premier League rival while his time at Barcelona would make him unfit to return to Spain.

Henry also suggested that clubs like Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain might come in for the forward if his contract is not renewed.
