Recent new emanating from Stamford Bridge might not be what Chelsea fans are looking forward to. The Blues faithful are expecting to see their team bounce back from their loss to Tottenham against Leicester City on Saturday in the Premier League.

The 0-2 loss to Spurs made them lose the opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the table to eight points and ended their 13-match winning run, and their title bid may suffer another hitch after star man Diego Costa has been dropped for the match against the Foxes following a training ground bust-up with manager Antonio Conte.

The Spanish forward has not trained with his team mate for the past three days after a bust –up over an injury with fitness coach Julio Tons which also involved Conte, and has not traveled to Leicester.

Costa, who is known for his hot temper, recently, said he had wanted to live Chelsea and rejoin Atletico Madrid in the summer but was convinced by Conte –who was appointed this summer-, to remain at Stamford Bridge and has asserted to being happy at the club.

Chelsea, who are aware of the attacker being offered a staggering £30 million per year by a Chinese club, are hopeful the 28-year-old would sign a contract extension but the latest incident has raised doubts over the forward future at the London club, though owner Roman Abrahimovic has no intention of selling him.

Conte have been able to curtail his excesses this season as he went 11 games without being booked and the pair have had a close relationship until the last incident. It is left to see if the two will get back together.

Costa has been instrumental to Chelsea foray to the summit of the league standings and he is currently leading the league top scorer chart with 14 goals

Should Conte made good his decision to drop Costa Eden Hazard will have to fill the void with Pedro and Willian on either flanks.
