Jose Mourinho has his own tactics as does every other and he knows the qualities he looks for in a player and this could have culminated in him planning a major clear-out in January.
The former Real Madrid and Inter Milan coach spent almost £150 million in the summer with Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba joining him at Man United as parts of rebuilding the team.
The club who now have 27 senior players are planning to offload 10 players who are already deemed surplus to requirement at the club. Mourinho still has the plans of bringing more players in the January transfer window and they are ready to listen to listen to offers for some of their players to avoid what is already becoming overcrowding in the senior team.
This has put a number of clubs both in the Premier League and in Europe on alert. Memphis Depay, Morgan Schneiderlin, Matteo Darmain, Marcos Rojo, Ashley Young, Daley Blind, Marouane Fellaini, Anthony Martial and Sam Johnstone are all reported to be facing the exit door at Old Trafford next January.
Both Depay and Scheiderlin have been inked with Everton and West Ham with the latest news claiming that Scheiderlin has already discussed with Mourinho about his desire to leave.
Bastian Schweinsteigen is also on the “clear-out” list. The German has featured United only once this season, in the 1-1 draw with West Ham.
However, despite the clearing-out the Portuguese coach won’t sell any of the players to clubs in the top six.
